JSW Motors Upcoming SUV:  JSW Motors seems to be all set to begin its journey as an independent brand in the country starting in 2026. The brand will offer cars independent of its joint venture with MG in the Indian market, and it has joined hands with the Chinese car manufacturer Chery for the same. The first-ever JSW Motors car is expected to come in the form of a mid-size SUV based on the Chery Jetour T2. While the brand recently published an advertisement in search of dealer partners, the prototypes of the Jetour T2 have also been spied, and it is expected to be launched around the festive season this year. Let’s take a look at the expected design, features, and specs of the upcoming Chery Jetour T2 SUV.

Upcoming JSW Motors SUV: Expected Design

The brand has officially teased the upcoming Jetour T2-based SUV in an advertisement to recruit new dealer partners, and the SUV will likely retain the same overall contour as the Jetour T2 SUV. It features an upright stance with an overall boxy contour. At the front, it gets square-shaped LED DRLs with dual slat LED headlamps incorporated into a black applique with Jetour badging. It also gets a very rugged, massive bumper with integrated LED fog lights and a chunky bash plate. On the sides, it features squared-wheel arches with thick black cladding and 20-inch alloy wheels. On the rear, the Jetour T2 SUV features a vertically placed rectangular light setup with split lights, a rear storage box, and massive bumpers with integrated reflectors.

JSW Jetour T2-Based SUV: Expected Features

The Chery Jetour T2 SUV comes equipped with some of the most advanced features. It features a 15.6-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, a dual-zone climate control system, ventilated leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The Jetour T2 SUV also enhances passenger safety by featuring Level 2 ADAS functionalities.

JSW Jetour T2-Based SUV: Expected Engine

The Chery Jetour T2-based SUV is offered with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and an all-electric variant in the international market. However, as per several media reports, the brand will be bringing the PHEV variant of the SUV to India. The PHEV variant comes equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine integrated with the 26.7 kWh battery pack. The PHEV variant also features both the Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) options, and it can produce a peak power and torque output of 154 hp and 220 Nm, respectively.
