- Apollo Micro System wins Rs 213 crore defence contracts.

The shares of Apollo Micro System, a multibagger defence stock, remained in focus during intraday trade on Wednesday after the Hyderabad-based company informed getting orders worth Rs 213.39 crore from defence PSUs, DRDO and other private industries. "We wish to inform you that, in the ordinary course of its business, the Company has been awarded orders worth INR 2133.91 Millions from DRDO, Defence PSUs, and Private Industries. This update is provided for the information of our shareholders," the company said in an exchange filing.
Share Price History: 120 Rally In Year
According to BSE Analytics, the stock has given a multibagger return of over 3,200 per cent in the last five years, while in the last three years it rose over 590 per cent. In two years, the scrip soared over 250 per cent and in a year it escalated over 120 per cent.
This year till date, the defence stock rose 44 per cent, and in the last three months, Apollo Micro System shares inched up nearly 30 per cent. However, in a month, the stock fell over 10 per cent.

Share Price Today: Despite the announcement, the defence stock was trading slightly lower in afternoon trade on Wednesday. Last seen, the stock was trading at Rs 396.75, down 0.35 per cent or Rs 1.40.
Stock Market Today
The domestic stock market was trading higher in early trade. However, the key equity indices fell into negative territory in afternoon trade after the RBI announced to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25 per cent. Last seen, Nifty 50 was trading at 24,514, down 0.41 per cent or 100.90 points. Sensex was quoted at 78,358.51, down 0.090 per cent or 70.45 points.
