The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has postponed its much-anticipated review meeting following India's disappointing white-ball tours of Ireland and England.

The meeting, initially expected to take place soon after the team's return from England, was aimed at assessing India's poor performances and discussing the road ahead under the new leadership group.

India endured a disastrous run in the two series. The reigning T20 World Cup champions suffered a shocking 2-0 whitewash against Ireland in a two-match T20I series under newly-appointed captain Shreyas Iyer. The back-to-back scheduling meant that both the support staff and players shifted their attention towards preparations for the Sri Lanka series rather than participating in administrative meetings.

Instead of cancelling the review altogether, the BCCI is expected to conduct the meeting at a later date, with the possibility of several members joining virtually.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir, who is currently with the Indian team on the Sri Lanka tour, is expected to attend the review online. This approach will allow the board, selectors and coaching staff to discuss India's performances without disrupting the ongoing series.
