Punjab Kings (PBKS) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who is known for his hilarious social media posts, has made a special request to his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise owner, Preity Zinta, to allow him to open the innings in one of the upcoming matches.
Notably, PBKS are currently preparing for their upcoming IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR), which will take place in New Chandigarh. Ahead of the clash, Chahal responded to Zinta’s post on X if she could allow him to feature as an opening batter.
“Mam ek match mein open batting karne ka chance mil jaaye toh," Chahal tweeted.

After Chahal’s comment on Zinta’s tweet went viral on the internet, she took note of it and came up with an epic reply, which is also going viral now.

The Bollywood actress wrote, “For sure, Yuzi. Anything for you. IPL Khatam hone do, uske baad whichever match you like. I’m sure Prabh & Priyansh won’t mind then."
Ucapped Indian batters Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya are currently featuring as openers for the PBKS in the ongoing edition of the tournament, where they impressed with their batting performances. In their last outing against DC, the duo added 126 runs in just 6.5 overs as the Punjab-based franchise chased down the highest total of the tournament.

Last edition's finalists, Punjab Kings (PBKS), are currently on an unbeaten streak in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. They have played seven matches so far, where they won six and one match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which ended without a result due to rain at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
