CBSE 12th Result Release Date 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to announce the much-anticipated Class 12 Result 2026 in May, with most estimates pointing to a declaration between May 10 and May 20, 2026. Millions of students who appeared for the Class 12 board examinations this year are anxiously waiting for the results, as their scores will play a decisive role in college admissions, scholarship eligibility, and career planning. CBSE has completed the evaluation process and is in the final stages of result preparation, according to the latest updates.
As in previous years, CBSE will make the results available across multiple platforms to ensure easy and quick access for all students. The official websites- cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in- will be the primary portals for result checking. In addition, students will be able to access their scorecards through DigiLocker and the government's UMANG mobile app, which serve as reliable alternatives when official websites experience heavy traffic.
Students are advised to keep their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth handy before the result is declared.
How to Check CBSE 12th Result 2026?
Students can follow these simple steps to access their marksheet online. Visit the official results portal at results.cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in and click on the link titled "Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Results 2026." Enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID in the required fields and click Submit to view your result. Students are also advised to download and save a copy of the provisional marksheet immediately after checking, as official mark sheets will be distributed later through respective schools.
CBSE Class 12 Passing Criteria & Compartment Exam
To be declared Pass in the CBSE Class 12 examination, a student must secure a minimum of 33% marks both overall and in each subject. Students who fall short in one or two subjects will be eligible to appear for the CBSE Compartment Examination 2026, details of which will be announced shortly after the main result. Students are encouraged to stay calm and wait for official communication from CBSE rather than relying on rumours or unofficial sources.
