JNU UG Admission 2026: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has officially released the first merit list for the UG admission 2026 on its official admission website. Candidates who have appeared for the first round of seat allotment can check whether they have been allotted a seat by logging in with their application number and password. Those allotted seats need to complete their admission formalities along with fee submission until August 6, 2026. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of their allotted seats.
The JNU UG merit list contains key information, including candidates’ names, subject, marks obtained, and seat status. Following this, the second merit list and supernumerary seats for admissions will be out on August 12, 2026.

How To Check JNU UG First Merit List?
Candidates can follow the given steps to check their seat allotment results through the official portal.
Step 1: Go to the university’s official website at jnuee.jnu.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the JNU UG First Merit List 2026 download link.
Step 3: Enter your application number and password to log in.
Step 4: The seat allotment result will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Download the merit list PDF for future admission process.
JNU UG Second Merit List Dates 2026
Following the conclusion of the admission process for Round 1, the university will start the registration for the Round 2 counselling process. Candidates who have not been allotted seats in the first merit list or want to upgrade their allotment are eligible to appear for Round 2. The complete schedule is as follows:

Candidates whose names are present on the first merit list PDF have to complete their pre-enrollment registration until August 5. The physical verification of admissions will be held from August 17 to August 20, 2026. Candidates can take their final call for the expression of willingness from August 26 to 28, 2026.
