He noted, "It unfolds as a layered supernatural tale rooted in the eerie legend of Vadhusur and a village long possessed by his dark presence... #AkshayKumar delivers one of his career-best performances, effortlessly switching between sharp comic timing and intense moments."

One critical viewer was unimpressed, sharing, "Watching Bhoot Bangla—halfway through, and it already feels like a masterclass in how not to make a horror-comedy. Even Akshay Kumar’s presence can’t salvage a script that confuses noise for humour and chaos for storytelling."

Another cinemagoer enthusiastically posted, "Bhooth Bangla Review Rating - 4 Akshay Kumar the comedy king is back A fun mix of horror and comedy! Priyadarshan’s signature chaos + Akshay Kumar’s effortless humor makes Bhoot Bangla a complete entertainer.."

Much of the praise has also been directed at the supporting cast, specifically the veteran duo of Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. Their legendary comic timing, which defined several Bollywood classics in the early 2000s, appears to have struck the right chord yet again. Their chemistry with Akshay Kumar is cited as a major highlight, significantly boosting the film’s overall entertainment value.
