Akanksha Chamola surprised everyone when she announced that she and Gaurav Khanna were getting divorced at the premiere of Lock Upp 2. The revelation left fans stunned, with many calling it a TRP stunt. After her eviction, the actress addressed the claims and clarified why she made the announcement.

Speaking with the media, Akanksha Chamola confirmed that she and Gaurav are indeed divorcing and that it wasn't a publicity stunt. She explained that only the signing of the divorce papers needs to be completed and that the legal process is already in progress.

Akanksha Chamola clarified that she doesn't think any woman would go on such a big platform and say that she is divorcing her husband just for TRPs when asked if her divorce announcement was a publicity stunt. But if people continue to believe that, they can talk to her legal team, she said.

The actress shared that they are still sorting these things out. "It's just that, you know, we just have to sign papers, but yeh already in process ho chuka hai. Toh yeh koi TRP ke liye cheez nahi kar rahe hai."

She also disclosed that some believed they were getting married for publicity but that wasn't the case.

Akanksha Chamola Confirms Divorce

At the Lock Upp 2 premiere on June 27, Akanksha Chamola disclosed that she and Gaurav Khanna had made the decision to split. She said that the two had been living apart for a year, but they had kept it a secret up until this point.
