The makers of upcoming movie Valmiki Ramayana have unveiled a new poster on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, creating excitement among fans. Earlier, the first poster was released on Hanuman Jayanti. Along with the latest poster, the team also shared an important update about the film’s music. With a strong creative team and mythological theme, the film is already generating buzz ahead of its release.

Valmiki Ramayana New Poster Revealed On Akshaya Tritiya

Director Bhavana Talwar’s film Valmiki Ramayana got a fresh poster release on Sunday. The poster featured a powerful image of Lord Ram holding a bow, reflecting strength and divinity. The visuals have impressed fans and added to the anticipation around the film.

Ilaiyaraaja To Compose Music In Valmiki Ramayana

The makers have also made an announcement about the involvement of a renowned music composer, Ilaiyaraaja, in composing the film’s music. The fans now have high hopes because of the involvement of this legendary composer since he composes time-honored music.

Recently, on January 10, 2026, Ilaiyaraaja completed 50 years in his career as a music composer. He was honoured with a concert dedicated to him on this special day titled Ilaiyaraaja 50: A Legendary Musical Journey in Bengaluru.

Valmiki Ramayana Release Date And Team Details

Valmiki Ramayana is scheduled to hit theatres on October 2, 2026, arriving ahead of Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana, which is expected to release in the last week of October around Diwali. 

The film Valmiki Ramayana features a skilled team, including Sabu Cyril as production designer, Binod Pradhan handling cinematography, and Resul Pookutty in charge of sound design. The screenplay is written by Anand Neelakantan and Chandraprakash Dwivedi. However, specific cast members are yet to be officially finalized and revealed by the production team.
