A slew of new South movies and web series are gearing up for their OTT debut. From Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni in lead role, to Vadhandhi Season 2 and more, there is something for everyone available on JioHotstar, Zee5 and more.

South OTT Releases This Week

Lenin

Akhil Akkineni's Lenin is all set for its digital release after its theatrical debut on July 10, 2026 on Zee5. The Telugu action drama is now gearing up to reach a wider audience on OTT.

Also starring Bhagyashri Borse, Lenin blends village politics, emotional relationships and revenge. Inspired by themes from Indian epics, the film offers a mix of action and drama.

Uyir

Uyir follows Ajeeb Rahman, a probationary police sub-inspector, as he investigates the murder of a migrant woman whose decomposed body is found in an abandoned well.

The movie is directed by M Padmakumar and stars Roshan Mathew, Baiju Santhosh and Athulya Chandra in lead roles.

Uyir will premiere on JioHotstar on August 4, 2026. Along with Malayalam, the film will also be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Vadhandhi Season 2

Prime Video has announced the global premiere of Vadhandhi Season Two—The Mystery of Mani. The critically acclaimed franchise tells a riveting tale of guilt, secrets, rumours and redemption.

Set against the culturally rich backdrop of Madurai, the narrative seamlessly intertwines tradition and investigation with the raw energy and essence of the iconic Jallikattu festival.
