Naidunia Correspondent, Raipur | In a joint operation, approximately 500 kg of paneer, brought from Bhopal by the Amarkantak Express, was seized at the Raipur Railway Station. The cheese was packed in 10 large containers. Officials have taken samples and sent them to the laboratory for testing.
According to preliminary information, the consignment was to be supplied to hotels, dhabas, and other commercial establishments in the city. The authorities are now investigating who ordered the paneer and where they were to be supplied. It is noteworthy that a similar major operation was conducted at Raipur Station a few days ago. Earlier this month, the sale of analogue paneer was banned in the state for one year.

Recently, the Chhattisgarh government imposed a complete ban on the sale and manufacture of analogue (duplicate) paneer in the state. Despite this, hundreds of kilograms of fake paneer are being transported daily via trains from Raipur station to other cities. A total of 600 kilograms of paneer has been seized from Raipur station within two days. This 100-kilogram consignment was intended to be sent to Ambikapur without booking. A 500-kilogram consignment of paneer arriving from Bhopal to Raipur on Wednesday morning was also seized.

500 Kg Consignment Arrives From Bhopal On Amarkantak Express
On Wednesday, a large consignment of approximately 500 kilograms of fake analogue paneer was seized at Raipur railway station. This consignment was brought to Raipur from Bhopal via the Amarkantak Express. Upon receiving information, the Food Safety Department and railway officials conducted a joint operation and seized the consignment. Samples of the paneer have been taken and sent for testing.
No Barcode, No Label
The consignment being sent to Ambikapur contained parcels that had neither a barcode nor an authorised railway label. Questions arise as to how the 100-kg boxes reached platform number five without booking.
