Bihar Cabinet Approves 17 Proposals Including 16 Medical Colleges And Hospitals And Deployment Of 330 Home Guards

Jagran State Bureau, Patna | Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Wednesday approved 17 proposals ranging from the medical to tourism sector. The government has decided to proceed with the operation of the state's 16 brownfield medical colleges and hospitals, including dental colleges and hospitals, on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model under Saat Nishchay-3.

Transaction Advisor To Receive Work Order

The Cabinet has granted administrative approval of Rs 8.27 crore for issuing a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) or work order to the agency selected as transaction advisor. The government said that the PPP model will develop modern facilities in these medical colleges and hospitals. This will provide a better learning environment for medical students and quality treatment for patients.

Emphasis On Expanding Medical Services

Encouraging private participation in the health sector will also enable the expansion and management of medical services to become more effective. This initiative is being implemented under the "Accessible Health - Safe Life" program of Saat Nischay-3. Its objective is to strengthen health services in the state and provide better medical facilities to the people.

Security Of 34 Children's Homes To Be Strengthened

Similarly, the Cabinet approved the appointment of 330 home guards to strengthen the security of 34 children's homes operated and proposed under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015. These include 23 observation homes for boys, one observation home for girls, one special home, and nine safe places. This will cost Rs 14.53 crore per year.

330 Home Guards To Be Deployed

The deployment of these guards will help control conflicts among juveniles living in the homes and improve internal security. The government aims to strengthen the security system in children's homes and provide a safe environment for the juveniles living there.

Heli-Tourism Expansion

The state government has approved the procurement of helicopter services for the operation of the Chief Minister's Bihar Heli-tourism and Air Tourism Service Scheme-2026. A monthly payment of Rs 60 lakh plus applicable GST will be made. Administrative and expenditure approval of a maximum of Rs 3.30 crore plus GST has been granted for the specified period.

Air Tour From Valmikinagar To Rajgir

The first phase of the scheme will run from July 15, 2026, to January 15, 2027. Under this scheme, helicopter joy rides of the Patna city skyline will be offered every Saturday and Sunday, along with aerial tours of Valmikinagar, Maa Mundeshwari Temple, and Rajgir.
