Delhi Weather: Intermittent Rain Lashes Parts Of NCR; Waterlogging, Traffic Snarls Hit Vikas Marg

State Bureau, New Delhi: Several areas of the Delhi-NCR region have been experiencing intermittent rain since Wednesday morning. Showers followed by waterlogging have caused traffic jams on Vikas Marg, causing inconvenience to commuters. Despite the rains, humidity remained high.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures will remain below or near normal for now in Delhi. On Wednesday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 26.6 degrees Celsius. The daytime temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius. Light to moderate rain is expected to continue throughout the day along with clouds cover.

Meanwhile, Delhi's AQI was recorded at 64 at 9:30 am on Wednesday. This is considered satisfactory. The air quality in the NCR cities is also in the satisfactory to moderate category.

Rain Likely In UP

As per the weather department, rainfall is expected in the eastern districts of Uttar Pradesh at least till Thursday. Apart from this, similar weather conditions are likely in the western regions until August 7. Along with the rain activities, these regions are also likely to witness thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning.

Will It Rain In Hilly States?

Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to experience intermittent rain and thunderstorms from August 5 to 10. As per the advisory, very heavy rain is expected in Himachal on August 5 and heavy rain from August 6 to 10. In Uttarakhand, an alert has been issued for very heavy rain on August 4 and 5, and heavy rain from August 6 to 10.

Bihar Weather Update

The IMD stated that several regions of Bihar are likely to witness heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning on Wednesday. Apart from this, heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Jharkhand from August 5 to 8.
