Jagran Correspondent, Greater Noida | A dispute between two brothers over the division of money from the sale of land in the town of Jahangirpur, within the Jewar police station area, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, led to gunfire, leaving one injured.
The younger brother opened fire on the land buyer and his brother in the market. Both somehow managed to defend themselves, but a bystander was hit by a bullet. Police arrived at the scene and, with the help of relatives, admitted the injured man to a local hospital, from where he was referred to the GIMS Hospital in Greater Noida. Based on the complaint from the victim's family, the police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.

What Was The Dispute?
According to police, Aamir Khan, a neighbour of Sher Mohammad and Nazar Mohammad alias Bhuri, residents of Mohalla Vyapariyan in Jahangirpur, had purchased a piece of land in his mother's name for Rs 8.5 lakh in 2024. Aamir owed some of the money. On August 2, Aamir paid the outstanding amount of approximately two lakh rupees to Sher. On Wednesday, Shera's younger brother, Nazar alias Bhuri, went to Shera and Aamir in the old market to ask for the money. Abuses and an argument broke out over the demand.
Accused's Neighbour Injured
Nazar fired a shot, striking Umar, who was standing nearby, in the lower back. Umar is a resident of the accused's neighbourhood. The shooting in broad daylight in the middle of the market created panic. Based on Aamir's complaint, the police have registered a case against Nazar and launched a search for the accused.

"A brother had fired a shot at his brother over a money dispute, which struck a third person standing nearby. The injured man has been admitted to the hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. Based on the family's complaint, a case has been registered and two teams have been deployed to search for the accused. An arrest will be made soon," said Rajiv Kumar Sisodia, ACP, Jewar.
