Gujarat Weather: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rain may occur in scattered places on Thursday. Similarly conditions are expected to prevail till August 11. The intensity of rain may increase in some parts between August 12 and 15.

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places in districts including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Kheda, Anand, Panchmahal, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Morbi, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Mehsana, Aravalli, Kutch, Bharuch, Dang from August 12 to 15. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at some places.
Gujarat Weather Affected By Several Systems
At present, the monsoon trough has shifted northwards from its normal position at mean sea level. A Western Disturbance is active as a trough in the mid and upper tropospheric westerlies. A cyclonic circulation has formed in the lower tropospheric levels over northwest Uttar Pradesh and its vicinity. An upper air cyclonic circulation is active over northeast Bihar and adjacent sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, between the lower and middle tropospheric levels over central Assam, in the lower tropospheric levels over northeast Bangladesh and its vicinity and in the middle tropospheric levels over south interior Karnataka and its vicinity. Thus, the effect of the system including the monsoon trough, Western Disturbance and cyclonic circulation can also be seen in the weather.
