Himachal Influencer: Two FIRs have been filed against an influencer, Ishita Pundeer, from Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh, over her remark on soldiers' loyalty towards their wives and girlfriends. Pundeer, from Deva Manal village in Naohradhar tehsil, was accused of making a derogatory comment on the Indian Army. After her video drew nationwide backlash, she deleted it from her Facebook page. However, by then, the video had gone viral.
Pundeer Issues Oppology
Subsequently, Pundeer made another video and apologised to the soldiers. On Thursday, officials from the Rajgarh Ex-Servicemen Association filed a complaint at the Rajgarh police station alleging derogatory comments against the Army. They also demanded an investigation into Pundeer's account.
Meanwhile, an FIR has also been filed in Sarkaghat based on a complaint from Himachal Congress General Secretary Yadupati Thakur.

More Followers From Pakistan
Retired Naib Subedar Brij Mohan said in a statement to the media that most of Pundeer's followers are from Pakistan and Bangladesh. He suspects that she may have made this video at the behest of an ISI agent to defame the country's soldiers. He also demanded that the police and government investigate Pundeer's bank account. It is alleged that she has previously made several controversial posts.
Controversial Comment On Soldiers
Recently, the influencer said in a video that "soldiers may be loyal to the country and Mother India, but more than 90 per cent of soldiers are not loyal to their wives or girlfriends." When soldiers return home on leave, they hang out with four or five girlfriends. This statement sparked strong reactions on social media.
Users Reacted Sharply
Users on the internet said that such comments on the character of soldiers who defend the country day and night are condemnable. Many users called it irresponsible and said that a content creator should be mindful of their limits. Social media users even said that such statements send a negative message to society and damage the image of the country's soldiers.
