37 NDA MPs, Including Turncoats, Attend PM Modi's Breakfast Meet
Earlier, PM Modi had invited the 37 Rajya Sabha MPs who had recently switched to the NDA from other parties or were elected recently for the breakfast meet. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs who had recently joined the BJP were also present at the meet.
Advice To Spend Maximise Time In Parliament
The prime minister advised devoting most of his time in the House and listening carefully to discussions there. He urged them to listen to both the ruling party and the opposition in the House. He also advised all MPs to visit the library, the Parliament Museum, and the statues installed there. Several MPs were surprised when the PM addressed them by name. One MP expressed his disbelief that the PM knows him by name.
PM Modi also discussed health, yoga, and time management with the newly elected MPs. He revealed that he sleeps only three and a half hours a day, and falls asleep within eight seconds of going to bed.
During this discussion, MP Ashok Mittal, who had joined the BJP from the AAP, asked the PM how he manages his time. The Prime Minister responded by saying that he thinks about the moment he is in.
During this time, someone asked PM Modi how he deals with travel fatigue (jet lag). He said that as soon as he boards the plane, he simply becomes immersed in the country he is visiting, and thus, he doesn't experience any problems. The PM also advised the MPs on eating a balanced diet.
