Jammu And Kashmir Weather: The Srinagar Meteorological Center has issued a new weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, warning of a change in weather patterns over the next few days.

According to the forecast, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy tomorrow across most parts of the UT. Light rain and thundershowers are expected at many places during this time. Strong winds of up to 40-50 kilometres per hour are possible in some areas, and hailstorms are also possible, which could impact public life.

Following this, dry weather is expected from April 20 to 23, bringing relief. However, the weather may change slightly again between April 24 and 26, with isolated areas experiencing light rain or thundershowers and strong winds possible during the afternoon.

The administration and the IMD have also appealed to the general public to monitor weather updates and exercise caution during adverse weather. Light to moderate rainfall was recorded in many parts of the Kashmir Valley, while temperatures remained around normal in the plains of the Jammu division.

Srinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 15.8 degrees Celsius, 5 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was 10.7 degrees Celsius. Rainfall of 14.2 mm was recorded throughout the day. Kupwara also experienced heavy rains, recording 19.2 mm of rain in 24 hours, and the maximum temperature was about 7.8 degrees below normal.

Rain also occurred in hilly areas like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Bhaderwah, bringing down temperatures. Gulmarg recorded a maximum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum of -1.5 degrees Celsius, while it received 15 mm of rain. Jammu remained relatively warm.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 20.3 degrees Celsius, both close to normal. However, light drizzle was recorded during the day. Katra recorded a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius.

This was 3.8 degrees above normal. Light rain was also recorded in Banihal and Batote. According to IMD, the sky in the region is expected to remain partly cloudy in the coming days, with light rain at some places.
