Karnataka Weather Update: IMD Issues Rain Alert For THESE Districts Till April 19; Check Forecast For Bengaluru

Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that several regions of Karnataka are set to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. The weather department asserted that the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing relief from the heat. The change in weather will also lead to waterlogging in several regions, leading to inconveniences to the residents. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the IMD stated that several regions, including Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, and Kodagu, are likely to witness rainfall in the night hours. Along with rain, the residents of these regions are also expected to receive thunderstorms and lightning. Apart from this, light rain may also occur in Mysuru and Mandya, giving short relief from the rising heat.

The weather department further stated that the residents of Bengaluru are also likely to witness cloudy skies; however, high humidity will raise the temperature. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 37 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 20 degrees Celsius. However, light rain is likely between April 17 and 20.

The IMD stated that the temperature in Kalaburagi was calculated at 42 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, adding that the temperature in Hubballi-Dharwad is likely to be calculated at around 39 degrees Celsius. It further stated that other regions, including Raichur, Ballari, and Vijayapura, are likely to see temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

The weather department has stated that coastal districts are also likely to witness rainfall in the upcoming days, advising the fishermen to avoid the financial activities during the rain. Along with Karnataka, several other states, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, are also likely to witness rainfall in the next few days.
