Meta Row: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday alleged that his social media account has been restricted and unavailable in India. While seeking a response from the parent company Meta in a post on X, the former Delhi CM questioned why the firm has not provided reasons behind the restrictions. Kejriwal also stated that other than the routine acknowledgements, the firm has not provided any genuine response to his mails.
Kejriwal Slams Meta
While criticizing the services of Meta, Kejriwal pointed out that he has not received any suggestion on how to remove the restrictions. "Why have you restricted my account? Verbal enquiries at your India office revealed that my account has been restricted in India and is unavailable in India. Why? Noone in your office is giving any reasons. Noone is suggesting how restrictions can be removed," Kejriwal said in his post
"All emails written have elicited no response other than routine acknowledgement. Thats pretty bad service," he added. The AAP chief further suggested Meta to not "bow down" to Prime Minister Narendra Modi while taking action against the accounts of the opposition leaders.

"Don't bow down to our Prime Minister so much. Else he will allow you to run only his own account in India," Kejriwal said. Earlier on August 4, Kejriwal was stopped by Delhi Police during his march towards the prime minister's residence in Delhi over the E20 fuel row.
While the opposition leader has accused Meta of bias action, the US firm is currently under scrutiny for removing one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's short video from Facebook. Earlier, BJP MP and chairperson of the committee, Nishikant Dubey, criticised Meta India for removing the social media post of the Prime Minister.
