Sheopur Road Accident: At least four women died, and 28 got injured after a tractor-trolley, carrying them, overturned in Sheopur district, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday. The tractor, carrying devotees, suddenly lost control and overturned in the Vijaypur area. Many of the injured are in critical condition.

The accident occurred near Khitarpal village, where members of the Gurjar community from Ghughus village in Veerpur were on their way to Parvati Baroda to offer prayers. The tractor was carrying a large number of women, men, and children. Due to the high speed and imbalance on the road, the vehicle overturned, causing widespread outcry.

Injured Rushed To Hospital

Upon receiving the information, police and administrative teams immediately arrived at the scene. With the help of local villagers, those trapped under the tractor were pulled out and taken to the hospital by ambulance. Relief and rescue operations were carried out swiftly, but four women could not be saved. The deceased include Saroj, wife of Magan Gurjar, Sunaina, wife of Kalla Gurjar, Seema, wife of Kallu Gurjar, and Geeta, wife of Ghanshyam Gurjar.

Former Minister, SDM Arrive At The Spot

Upon learning of the incident, former forest minister Ramniwas Rawat, SDM Abhishek Mishra, and TI Rajan Gurjar arrived at the scene and assessed the situation. The administration has launched an investigation into the accident, which initially appears to be due to speeding and vehicle imbalance.

The injured are currently undergoing treatment, and the administration is monitoring the entire incident, officials said.
