Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday targeted the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, accusing it of betraying the women of Bengal by defeating the women's reservation bill. The prime minister also gave an ultimatum to the 'TMC goons' to surrender at the nearest police station before the assembly election results.
Speaking at a poll rally in Bankura's Bishnupur, the PM said that the BJP's identity is rooted in women's empowerment and women's safety, which is why sisters and daughters in every state of the country bless the BJP the most.
PM Modi targets TMC after women's quota bill failure
The PM alleged that TMC has committed yet another betrayal of the sisters of Bengal. Pinning the blame for the fall of the Amendment to Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, PM Modi said the women of Bengal wanted 33 per cent reservation, and Modi ensured it.

"We wanted it implemented by 2029, but the TMC did not want Bengal's daughters to become MLAs and MPs in large numbers because they were challenging their Maha Jungle Raj." Therefore, the TMC conspired with the Congress to prevent the bill from passing," the PM said.
TMC's era of fear to end: PM
Modi said that the TMC's era of fear is about to end, and the BJP's era of trustworthy service is about to begin. In a stern warning to TMC 'goons and syndicate', the Prime Minister said, "I am giving one last chance to all TMC goons, syndicate mafia, and corrupt individuals.
They should all surrender at their respective police stations before April 29, because after May 4, no one will be able to save them."
PM assures implementation of beneficiary schemes
The prime minister made a poll pitch seeking votes for the BJP, assuring free rations, Rs 1.5 lakh for women under the PM Awas Yojana, free medical treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Yojna, and financial aid to women of Rs 36,000 per month.
