Former India skipper Virat Kohli has once again grabbed attention online after he allegedly “liked” a photo of German influencer LizLaz. The incident quickly went viral, with fans revisiting Kohli’s earlier “algorithm” explanation.

The buzz began after users noticed Kohli had liked an old post featuring LizLaz and photographer Advait Vaidya. Screenshots of the interaction spread rapidly online, prompting curiosity about the influencer and sparking widespread reactions.

LizLaz, also known as Jennifer, is a German-South African travel vlogger and singer. She gained traction in India after Kohli allegedly liked one of her posts. Known for her cultural storytelling and multilingual content, she has built a strong Indian fanbase with viral videos like “Samosa Samosa.”

According to her Instagram bio, she is based in Germany and holds a master’s degree in Psychology. She is fluent in German, English, and Dutch, and has also learned Hindi and regional Indian languages. Many of her videos feature interactions with locals in cities such as Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Her viral track “Samosa Samosa,” reportedly written in just 20 minutes, marked a breakthrough moment. She has also gained popularity for relatable content, including videos on navigating Bengaluru traffic and podcasts comparing lifestyles in India and Germany.

As soon as Kohli’s alleged “like” was spotted, social media users began referencing his earlier clarification during a similar controversy involving actor-influencer Avneet Kaur.

“I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding,” Kohli had said at that time.

Following the latest incident, fans once again brought up the “algorithm” explanation, with reactions pouring in across platforms. One user wrote, "Kohli liked this post on Instagram. Another paragraph loading on the algorithm."
