Samsung One UI: The early leaks of Samsung's One UI 9 are now buzzing, and it is giving us an early look into what the new OS might provide us with this time. It is expected that the update will come to fore with the next generation of Galaxy foldable devices. One of the more noticeable changes shows up in the Settings app. The search bar now expands and collapses with smoother animations when you interact with it. It is a small tweak, but it makes navigation feel quicker and more natural.
This is not a major redesign. The focus here is on responsiveness. There are also early signs that similar behaviour could extend to other search areas like the app drawer, but that has not been confirmed yet.
AI Editing Suggestions In Photo Editor
Samsung could also bring AI-based editing suggestions to the photo editor. Based on the image you select, the editor may show small pill-shaped prompts above the input field.
These suggestions are meant to speed up basic edits. Instead of manually adjusting multiple settings, users could apply quick changes directly from these prompts. It points to deeper AI integration within Samsung’s built-in apps.
Changes To About Phone Section
The About phone page may also get a layout update. Instead of placing a large device image at the top, the new design shifts to a smaller image positioned to the side.
Information that may include the name and model of the phone is shown right alongside the icon. Other details such as IMEI and phone number will be shown below it.
Focus Remains On Usability
Indeed, the upgrade appears to place emphasis on usability. It would seem as though cleaner designs, removal of unnecessary visuals, and better animations are what it is about.
This does not look like a major visual overhaul. It will be an extension of the existing One UI interface, not an overhaul of the entire system.
Availability and What to Expect
The next version of One UI is currently being developed, and these features are based on preliminary builds. More information is expected when Samsung launches its beta program soon.
