Amid heavy uproar in the Lok Sabha, the Anti-Paper Leak Bill was passed. The Bill will now be introduced in the Rajya Sabha for discussion.

Earlier, the Lok Sabha witnessed significant disruptions during the debate on the Bill. Members of the ruling party objected to Rahul Gandhi's speech and asked him to present factual evidence, following which the House was thrown into chaos.

The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 was passed in the Lok Sabha by a voice vote.

Uproar Over Rahul Gandhi's Statement

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appealed to the ruling party MPs to remain calm and requested Rahul Gandhi to complete his speech. Rahul Gandhi then resumed his address and stated that permission to use force can only be granted by the Home Minister or the Prime Minister. His remarks triggered another round of protests in the House, with members of the ruling party demanding an apology from him.

Opposition Is Politicising an Important Bill: Jitendra Singh

Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that instead of offering constructive suggestions on such an important Bill, the Opposition was trying to politicise the issue.
