019.819.6: Digvesh Singh to Rinku Singh, A bit of anti-climax, but nothing to take away from Rinku Singh. Digvesh fires it flat and quick, but down leg. Rinku shuffles a long way across to the off side to play the sweep shot, but seems to have missed it. Pant fails to gather it behind the stumps, but the ball rolls in his vicinity. Wide is not given. And Rinku sends it upstairs to challenge the on-field decision. Rinku had moved well across his stumps, so the question is whether the ball would still have been down leg from his original stance. The on-field umpire reckons that yes, it would have. Wide not upheld on that count. But UltraEdge shows there is a clear spike as the ball passes the glove. So it is a fair delivery. 26 runs from the last over and KKR finish strongly at 155/7.
8 Over | Run: 155/7 | Run Rate: 7.75

619.419.2: Digvesh Singh to Rinku Singh, SIX! Clears the ropes, just! Dropped on the shorter side, sliding outside off. Rinku Singh lets the wrong'un turn away and swats it just over the long on fielder for a six. Didn't time it well enough, but had sufficient wood on it to sail it over.
019.319.2: Digvesh Singh to Rinku Singh, WIDE! The review works in favour of the batting team. This is dropped a bit short and it is the googly that is darted well across the off stump. Prince Yadav picks up the ball and is caught between two thoughts - whether to throw the ball to the bowler or to go for the run out himself. 01.11.1: Mohsin Khan to Ajinkya Rahane, Back of a length, around off, Ajinkya Rahane dabs this straight to point for another dot.
10.70.6: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, A bit closer to the batter, around off, shaping away from him. Rahane plays the square drive towards deep backward point and takes a single to get off the mark.
7 Over | Run: 2/0 | Run Rate: 2.00
00.60.5: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, A tad too full, around off, Ajinkya Rahane drives this to the left of George Linde at point and he does well to put in a dive and field it.
00.50.4: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, Good review by LSG! A dicey call by the umpire, and one believes that the noise from the crowd played its part here. It is too loud out there. There was a definite sound as the ball went past the batter's pad. On a length, down the leg, going further down. Ajinkya Rahane goes for a flick but misses out. Pant moves to his left and gathers this but is sent in disbelief as the umpire calls it a wide. Pant sends this upstairs for a review and the UltraEdge shows a spike off the front pad of Rahane. The on-field decision is overturned. It is a fair delivery.
00.40.4: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, WIDE! Shami errs in line a bit. Gets a huge inswing that curves down leg on a good length. The ball beats Rahane on his attempted flick and the umpire signals for a wide.
00.30.3: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, On a length, wide of off, once again the ball is shaping away from Rahane. The KKR skipper just guides this to backward point.
00.20.2: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, Shami drags the length back a shade and bowls it on a good length, around off, but shapes it away from the batter. Rahane defends this right underneath his eyeline.
00.10.1: Mohammad Shami to Ajinkya Rahane, Swing on display straightaway by Shami. Fuller one, shaping away from the batter, Ajinkya Rahane gets right on top of the bounce and blocks this around mid on.

619.819.6: Kartik Tyagi to Mohammad Shami, SIX! SHAMI GOES BIG AND CLEARS THE FENCE! Oh, Shami, what are you made of? He unfurls a clean hit to keep his side well and truly alive by the barest of margins. Kartik misses his length and lands it right into the slot, on the off stump. Shami has a free-flowing swing at it. Clears the front leg to make room for himself. Generates enough power by getting under it and pumps it over the long off fence for a cracking six. We are going into the Super Over. Absolute scenes at the Ekana Stadium as KKR have been left shell-shocked. Not a 200-plus game, not a belter of a wicket by any stretch of imagination, but still, we have witnessed a classic IPL low-scoring thriller. Highly entertaining stuff.
8 Over | Run: 155/8 | Run Rate: 7.75
019.719.5: Kartik Tyagi to Mohammad Shami, Big swing and a miss! Length ball, wide outside off. Shami stays put and has a swing at it but misses, and it goes through to the keeper. Right, 7 needed off the final delivery. A six for the Super Over.
019.619.4: Kartik Tyagi to Prince Yadav, Slower bouncer, following the batter as Prince shuffles far outside off. Prince attempts to scoop it over short fine leg, but does not connect. Tim Seifert fumbles to gather it cleanly behind the stumps and the batters cross over for a bye. By the time Seifert's throw reaches the bowling end, Prince is home comfortably. Had Seifert aimed at the stumps at the batting end, Shami could have been in trouble.
019.519.3: Kartik Tyagi to Himmat Singh, OUT! HIT STRAIGHT TO THE FIELDER! Guess who's the man in the deep. It's Rinku Singh. He can even walk on water today. The tables turn yet again as this game refuses to settle. Back of a length outside off. Himmat goes back in the crease and pulls it towards deep backward square, but Rinku Singh is stationed right there. He barely has to move forward, settles underneath it comfortably and takes the catch. LSG are 148/8, needing 8 runs from 3 balls.
419.419.2: Kartik Tyagi to Himmat Singh, FOUR! Himmat Singh is playing a gem of a knock for his side. Kartik goes short and slow into the pitch, over the top of off. Himmat Singh stands deep in his crease and hammers it with a pull shot over square leg for a boundary. LSG need 8 from 4 balls. Kartik is under tremendous pressure. Tensed faces in the visitors' dugout.
219.319.2: Kartik Tyagi to Himmat Singh, Oh..no! Is that another No Ball for height? Looks like it. Kartik Tyagi once again bowls a high full toss, on off. Himmat Singh connects this time but gets more height on it. It flies towards long on, where Rovman Powell grabs it and quickly releases the throw back, but cannot stop the second run. Kartik Tyagi asks his skipper to take the review for the No Ball. The Ball Tracking comes up and shows that the ball is well above the waist of the batter. The on-field calls stay. It will be another Free Hit.
019.219.2: Kartik Tyagi to Himmat Singh, NO BALL! Dear me, that's a hostile beamer. Kartik misses his radar completely and slips in a wild full toss on off stump. Himmat does well to get the bat on it and protect himself in evasive action. It comes off the splice and drops into the short mid-wicket region. Free Hit coming up...
019.119.1: Kartik Tyagi to Mohammad Shami, Back of a length, slower one, outside off. Shami misses to play the square cut on the off side and the ball bounces behind to the keeper, but Seifert fails to collect it cleanly due to the awkward bounce and the batters cross for a bye.
418.718.6: Vaibhav Arora to Himmat Singh, FOUR! BLAZED AWAY! Himmat goes deep in the crease and converts the yorker into a half volley. Gets the wrists through it beautifully and hits it up and over backward point for four.
7 Over | Run: 139/7 | Run Rate: 7.32
118.618.5: Vaibhav Arora to Mohammad Shami, Pace off bouncer outside the off stump. Shami carves it to deep backward point for a single.
018.518.4: Vaibhav Arora to Mohammad Shami, Full toss, wide of off, Mohammad Shami slashes hard at it but misses out to get any sort of connection with the ball. This is touch and go with the height but the umpire keeps his arms down and Shami doesn't send this upstairs as well.
418.418.3: Vaibhav Arora to Mohammad Shami, FOUR! Shami goes down the ground! Vaibhav misses his length, serving up a full toss on the middle stump line. Shami gets on the front foot and lofts it hard down the ground. It just beats Rinku diving to his right at long off.
018.318.3: Vaibhav Arora to Mohammad Shami, WIDE! Vaibhav bowls a wide yorker around off but lands this on the other side of the tramline. Wide given as Shami fails to get anything on it.
018.218.2: Vaibhav Arora to George Linde, OUT! EASILY CAUGHT! All going KKR's way now. Full length and pitching outside leg, following Linde with pace on. He makes room and swings down the ground, gets the elevation, but not the distance. He could not get the full swing of the bat, and that proves costly. Rinku rides the long on boundary and takes the catch. He is not dropping those dollies. LSG are 129/7.
118.118.1: Vaibhav Arora to Himmat Singh, Full length outside the off stump. Himmat hits it towards long off for a single.
417.617.6: Varun Chakaravarthy to George Linde, FOUR! Good attempt by Ramandeep Singh but in vain. On the shorter side and outside off. Linde rocks back and slaps a flat-batted hit over the bowler's head. Ramandeep is racing in from wide long on to his right, gets there and tries to slap the ball back in, but it bounces inside the fence.
6 Over | Run: 128/6 | Run Rate: 7.11
417.517.5: Varun Chakaravarthy to George Linde, FOUR! A tough chance put down, and worse, it's a four! Short of a length outside off. Linde rocks back and slams it hard over extra cover. Powell is running across from long off, gets to it and throws himself into a dive, managing to get a fingertip on the ball. But he cannot hold on, and it rolls away behind him and the converging deep cover fielder is too far to back it up and the ball rolls into the fence for four.
017.417.4: Varun Chakaravarthy to George Linde, Drifts across the off stump, full in length. Linde tries to thrash it behind cover, but misses on the outside edge.
017.317.3: Varun Chakaravarthy to Ayush Badoni, OUT! CAUGHT IN THE DEEP! Badoni holes out now and this could be a massive moment in the game. A touch short, on middle and off. Ayush Badoni bends a bit low and tries to pull it over deep mid-wicket, but is cramped up for space and hence cannot generate enough power on the shot. It goes only as far as the fielder stationed in the deep. Anukul Roy at deep mid-wicket bends low as the ball dips on him and takes a finely judged catch. Lucknow Super Giants are 120/6, still requiring 36 runs from 15 balls.
117.217.2: Varun Chakaravarthy to Himmat Singh, Full and outside the off stump. Himmat steps forward and drives to long off for a single.
117.117.1: Varun Chakaravarthy to Ayush Badoni, From around the stump. Short at 93.9 kph, sliding across the right-hander. Ayush tries to late cut, but gets a thickish outside edge and the ball runs to the left of backward point for a run.
116.616.6: Kartik Tyagi to Ayush Badoni, A thigh-high full toss, around off. Badoni slices it to deep point for a single.
6 Over | Run: 118/5 | Run Rate: 6.94
016.516.5: Kartik Tyagi to Ayush Badoni, Badoni shows his cards early again, shuffling to the off side, trying to play the scoop shot. But this time, Tyagi bowls it close to his body and cramps him for space. Ayush misses to lay his bat on the ball and it zips past his bat to the keeper.
016.416.4: Kartik Tyagi to Ayush Badoni, Misses out! Fires in a full toss, outside off, Badoni tries to hit it over extra cover, but fails to connect.
616.316.3: Kartik Tyagi to Ayush Badoni, SIX! Audacious stuff from Badoni. A full toss and very wide outside off from Tyagi at pace. Ayush Badoni predetermines and shuffles a long way across the stumps. Sits down on his knee and scoops it comfortably over the deep fine leg fence for a six.
116.216.2: Kartik Tyagi to Himmat Singh, Fuller ball, on middle. Himmat drives it to the left of cover for a single.
616.116.1: Kartik Tyagi to Himmat Singh, SIX! Oh, what a shot! Kartik bashes the length hard, just outside off. Himmat Singh plays from the crease and scythes it over deep backward point for a cracking six. 46 runs needed from 23 balls.
215.615.6: Anukul Roy to Ayush Badoni, Quicker one, into the batter, Badoni steps across and works this through mid-wicket for a couple here.
6 Over | Run: 104/5 | Run Rate: 6.50
615.515.5: Anukul Roy to Ayush Badoni, SIX! Tossed up, around off, Ayush Badoni steps a shade across the stumps, plants his front foot close to the pitch of the ball and smashes this over the fence for a biggie towards the wide long off region. 100 UP FOR LSG!
215.415.4: Anukul Roy to Ayush Badoni, Full and on leg, Ayush Badoni tucks this down to long on for a single.
015.315.3: Anukul Roy to Himmat Singh, LEG BYE! Fired onto the pads, Himmat Singh looks to flick this through short fine leg but misses and gets it brushed off his pads for a leg bye.
015.215.2: Anukul Roy to Mukul Choudhary, OUT! CAUGHT! The chase is falling apart for the Super Giants now. Short of a length, around middle and leg, Mukul Choudhary goes deep in the crease and looks to take on the boundary rider at deep mid-wicket, targeting the larger boundary as well. Doesn't get enough power behind the ball and ends up hitting it to the right of Rinku Singh in that region. Rinku runs well to his right and gathers this nice and clean. Mukul Choudhary departs for just 1.
115.115.1: Anukul Roy to Ayush Badoni, Short and around off, Ayush Badoni cuts this to deep point for one.
114.614.6: Sunil Narine to Ayush Badoni, Tossed up around off, Ayush Badoni guides this to the left of backward point and takes a single.
6 Over | Run: 92/4 | Run Rate: 6.13
014.514.5: Sunil Narine to Ayush Badoni, Short and quick, outside off. Badoni cuts it off the back foot, but the backward point fielder dives to his left to cut it off.
114.414.4: Sunil Narine to Mukul Choudhary, Fuller around middle and off, Ayush Badoni goes for a sweep but doesn't connect with the bat. A loud appeal for LBW by the keeper and Rahane at first slip but not much by Narine. The umpire just laughs it off but Rahane goes upstairs. A clear spike as the ball is next to the glove of Mukul on the UltraEdge, and the on-field decision stays.
114.314.3: Sunil Narine to Ayush Badoni, Fuller around middle and off, Ayush Badoni goes for a sweep but doesn't connect with the bat. A loud appeal for LBW by the keeper and Rahane at first slip but not much by Narine.

014.114.1: Sunil Narine to Ayush Badoni, Fuller around off, Ayush Badoni blocks this around silly point.
013.713.6: Varun Chakaravarthy to Nicholas Pooran, OUT! CAUGHT! Pooran falls into the trap set by Rahane and Varun. Chakaravarthy continues to bowl a quicker one, full and wide of off, Nicholas Pooran chases this and looks to loft this over covers but gets only an outside edge that goes straight into the hands of a very fine short third. Sunil Narine takes a sharp catch there.
7 Over | Run: 89/4 | Run Rate: 6.36
013.613.5: Varun Chakaravarthy to Nicholas Pooran, Quicker one, full and wide outside off, Nicholas Pooran swings and misses.
013.513.4: Varun Chakaravarthy to Nicholas Pooran, Short of a length, around off, Nicholas Pooran pats this to cover-point.
013.413.4: Varun Chakaravarthy to Nicholas Pooran, WIDE! Once again, Varun fires this full and wide outside off, flirting with the tramline. Nicholas Pooran doesn't offer any stroke at it, expecting a wide, but the umpire keeps his arms down. Pooran sends this upstairs for a review. The replay shows that there is nothing inside the tramline, and this turns out to be an excellent review by Pooran. Wide given.
013.313.3: Varun Chakaravarthy to Nicholas Pooran, Darted across the batter, on off, Nicholas Pooran slashes hard at it but gets beaten.
613.213.2: Varun Chakaravarthy to Nicholas Pooran, SIX! Now these are dangerous signs for KKR as Pooran is looking in the mood. Tossed up, full and wide outside off, Nicholas Pooran steps towards the pitch of the ball and lofts this handsomely over the fence towards the deep extra cover region for a biggie.
113.113.1: Varun Chakaravarthy to Ayush Badoni, Quicker one, wide of off, Ayush Badoni stays onto his back foot and cuts this to deep point for a single.

012.212.2: Sunil Narine to Rishabh Pant, OUT! GONE! Narine strikes and strikes big, putting an end to this budding stand. He keeps KKR well and truly alive in the contest. Quicker and fuller, wide outside off, Rishabh Pant goes for a reverse sweep but misses and loses his balance as well. Tim Seifert gathers this on the second attempt and appeals for a caught behind but the umpire denies it. Ajinkya Rahane sends this upstairs for DRS. A clear spike on the UltraEdge as the ball is next to Pant's glove. An excellent review by KKR, forced by Tim Seifert and the home side loses their skipper. As they say, you live by the sword and die by it as well. Pant falls and the Super Giants are 78/3, chasing 156.
412.112.1: Sunil Narine to Rishabh Pant, FOUR! A Pant special for four. Short of a length, on middle and off, Pant shuffles across and smashes this over the fielder at short fine leg for a boundary. Pant does fall over but hits this well behind the fielder for four.
011.611.6: Kartik Tyagi to Nicholas Pooran, Excellent deception! Off cutter, full and wide outside off. Pooran swings the bat to blast it into the cover gap, but only manages to get an under-edge and the ball rolls back to Seifert. Just 7 from the over. LSG need 82 from 48 balls.

111.311.3: Kartik Tyagi to Nicholas Pooran, At pace now, the yorker, on off. Pooran carves it to mid off and they cross over hastily for a single. Rahane rushes forward, picks the ball, releases the throw to the bowling end, but misses his shy, allowing Pooran to motor in.

110.510.5: Cameron Green to Rishabh Pant, At 134.6 kph, this is bashed on a length, outside off. Rishabh Pant advances down the track and thrashes it to deep point but there is protection in the form of Kartik Tyagi. Just a single.

010.210.2: Cameron Green to Aiden Markram, OUT! A SPECTACULAR CATCH! Rinku Singh cannot do anything wrong in this match and one can see how much it means to Cameron Green and KKR. On a fractionally fuller length, on the off stump line. Aiden Markram gets on the front foot and tries to clear the long off fence, but seemingly does not hit it off the middle of the bat. The ball still has the wheels to clear the ropes, but Rinku comes charging across to his right from long off and plucks it. But as soon as he realises that the momentum is taking him over the ropes, he lobs the ball up in the air, balances himself nicely, comes back in the playing area and takes it in the second attempt. The replay shows that no part of his boot is in contact with the ropes while holding the ball. Not the tallest man out there, is Rinku, but he always is a live-wire in the field. Lucknow Super Giants are 65/2 as the dangerous Aiden Markram walks back to the hut.

09.19.1: Kartik Tyagi to Rishabh Pant, Begins with a hard length ball, angled from middle to off. Rishabh Pant charges down the track and stays leg side to thrash it over the in-field on the off side, but toe ends it to mid off.
